As the name implies, our new feature identifies the week’s biggest numbskull in media and entertainment. It’s quite an honor, actually, when you consider all the worthy contenders. (It was close, with Russell Simmons running neck and neck with our ultimate winner).

First up, the Divine Miss M herself: Bette Midler. On September 13, Midler took to Twitter to suggest that Nakoula Bessaly Nakoula, the ne’er-do-well filmmaker of the notorious anti-Muslim video, should be charged with murder for tacitly inciting the riots throughout the Mideast. You know, kind of like the Rwanda radio genocide. Um. Yeah.

Tweet it away, Bette….

@BetteMidler
Who are the idiots who made the video and put it on YouTube? When do we meet them? They should be charged with murder.

@BetteMidler
Ok, let’s make that inciting to murder…isn’t that a crime in this world? Does anyone remember Rwanda? The genocide incited by radio??
